The RoleAspen Technology, industry leader in Process Engineering and Optimization software is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual as a Senior Product Manager for the newly formed Aspen Pharmaceuticals Business Unit. The Sr. Product Manager will be part of the Core Leadership Team for the Pharma Business Unit and will provide leadership in the definition of the Pharma product & technology strategy and the development of plans to accelerate customer adoption and business growth. This role will also contribute to the overall commercial strategy for AspenTech's family of pharmaceuticals product offerings.

The pharmaceutical industry has endured countless market disruptions in recent years, putting our global supply chain at significant risk, from sourcing raw materials to delivering safe and effective medicines to consumers. AspenTech has deep experience in optimization of manufacturing and the supply chain and is embracing all that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning as digital enablers has to offer to make a difference. Pharma manufacturers are looking for guidance as to how to move away from paper and spreadsheets and implement these enablers into their digitalization strategies, and AspenTech in line with ISPE's Pharma 4.0 initiative is resourced and prepared to propel the industry forward in optimizing outcomes for better decision-making, increasing collaboration, building supply chain resiliency, and ultimately, delivering life-saving medicines to people and animals around the globe.   • Proving a lead role in product strategy and a business plan to ensure growth
  • Responsible for target market analysis and understanding product business performance to develop strategies for growth.
  • Close engagement with the world's leading pharmaceutical companies to understand best practices and ways to address unsolved problems.
  • Translate feedback from the customers into software requirements and product strategy in order to achieve rapid adoption of the software.
  • Engage with customers to set up early adopter clubs.
  • Close working relationship with marketing and sales on a worldwide basis
  • Responsible for technology direction for the Aspen Pharmaceutical solutions offering.
  • Close working relationship with the research and development team to define product requirements and end user scenarios.
  • A passion for driving business growth and adoption of software products.
What You'll Need
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and process quality monitoring within the Pharma industry. Experience in closed loop control and supply chain optimization in Pharma is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the end user requirements, business drivers, and industry practices in pharma
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate the product message
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies for driving software adoption and usage
  • Proven leadership skills as well as an ability to work independently
  • Proven track record in leading successful product development initiatives
  • At least 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a Product Manager At least 5-10 years of work experience in pharma manufacturing
