Are you an experienced Accounting professional? Are you passionate about advocating for individuals to ensure they find their work fulfilling and meaningful? If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL. We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our General Accounting Section to supervise, lead, and mentor a team of approximately ten to fifteen accountants of varying levels of experience. The primary responsibilities of the team include processing and maintenance of all general ledger financial data, accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis of that information, cash management (timely month-end and year-end closings), Indirect Cost Submission, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and benefits accounting rules and regulations. The Section Supervisor will define expectations, implement guidance and policies, perform and present key financial analysis of operating results, review financial statement packages, supervise the Oracle General Ledger (GL) and Projects (PA) systems and administration to include all accounting close requirements, coordinate and be responsible for indirect cost burdening and allocations, supervise fixed assets and capitalization accounting activities, and work with internal and external audit teams. They will work closely with the CFO and department leadership to assist with special projects.
